the beauty in an eye-catching sunset

There's something so beautiful about catching the fall of the sun during your drive home. The first picture included is immediately leaving my boyfriend's apartment in Downtown Dallas, the second of its progress that I simply had to risk my life to capture while driving down the highway, and the third of its magical effect on the clouds when I reached my destination.

It's no wonder the Sistine Chapel is covered in images of the sky; it is simply one of the most alluring things our world has to offer. The range of the sky, from dawn to dusk, sunrise to sunset, and fall to spring, keeps us guessing everyday what picture it will have made for the world to awe over. Even the best painters would be unable to capture every particular array, for the sky is like a snowflake in that no two will ever be the same, and that is where the beauty lies. The movement allows for a surprise, and every time we go outside, particularly at the time of sun-fall, we can be excited about our ignorance of what the airspace has come up with today.

  1. Thanks for posting about the sky. I can't tell you how many photos I've taken of sunsets and sun rises while driving. Not great photos, but mementos of moments I shared with the heavens. I've taken a lot of cloud photos. Loved your video.
